SAR-I-PUL - An Afghan National Army (ANA) soldier shot to death his officer after a verbal clash over salary in northern Sar-i-Pul province, local officials said on Friday.
The incident took place last night, said Maj. Faizullah Nazari, commander of Shaheen Military Corps third brigade in Sari Pul.
He said the soldier opened fire at his officer after his salary had been suspended for absence from duty. He said the killer had been arrested and referred to the law. (Pajhwok)
