Bilateral Relations between  Afghanistan and Kazakhstan Growing

KABUL/NUR – SULTAN - Kazakhstan’s Ambassador said in an interview with the Afghanistan e Ma newspaper that the two countries had long-standing ties since Kazakhstan’s independence on December 16, 1991.
He added: “Our countries have so far signed more than 20 international treaties and agreements in all areas of common interests.”
The increase of effective cooperation between Kazakhstan and Afghanistan is evidence of the steady growth of mutual trade, the Kazakh Ambassador added. Thus, in 2018, the volume of our trade turnover for a number of export and import operations increased by more than 0.5% compared to 2017, and in first half of the year 2019 this index increased by 0.2%.
Cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan is developing very successfully. According to an agreement signed on November 22, 2009, on further development of cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in the field of education, Khzakhstan has supported educating
more than one thousand specialists for Afghanistan in fields of advanced technologies, medicine, education, agriculture, culture and art.
In addition, during past years of cooperation (from 1992 until today), Kazakhstan has provided over $ 75 million in humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan. (DOA)
