KABUL - No one in education ministry has got the right to work in the same position for more than three years, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said on Sunday.
Speaking in a meeting with the ministry’s officials, the president said that he wanted the ministry to be small in terms of personnel, but effective, beneficial and absolutely apolitical.
He said that all the appointments in the ministry should be through a transparent exam.
He said that all the ministry’s personnel should undergo biometric registration process.
The president also said that he was not satisfied with the ministry’s current curriculum, as it doesn’t meet the needs of students, market and business, and called for fundamental change in this regard. (1TV NEWS)
