Shahin: We Will Not Cease, But We Will Reduce the Battle Against US and Afghan Forces

PESHAWAR - The Afghan Taliban in Peshawar, Pakistan, have said they will reduce their violence and battles against US and Afghan troops to pull out foreign troops from Afghanistan. Taliban spokesman Soheil Shahin told the media in a telephone interview in Pakistan that they are finalizing an agreement this month to reduce the violence and the date of withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan.
He added: “We are providing a safe space for US troops to leave Afghanistan, to eliminate the belief that the Taliban will not launch terrorist attacks after US troops leave.”
Meanwhile, Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmoud Qureshi said in a video message that he would not hesitate to try to bring peace to Afghanistan. (Pasbanan)
