Appellant Complaints  Exceed 2000, Says IECC

KABUL - The Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC) on Saturday said announced registering 2,200 appellant complaints so far.
IECC deputy spokesman Mohammad Reza Fiaz told Pajhwok Afghan News so far they had registered 2,200 appellant complaints and the process would be wrapped up today.
He said most of the appellant complaints had been registered by the State Builder and Stability and Partnership electoral teams.
However, Fiaz did not say if the IECC had embarked on assessing the mentioned complaints. He said a list of suspected polling stations for vote recount and audit was shared online last Wednesday with the Independent Election Commission (IEC) and at the end of today, they would share it literally as well.
The above appellant complaints shall be evaluated within 15 days based on the election schedule.
After announcement of the presidential election preliminary result, the IECC registered 16,500 complaints, but its provincial offices were not able to assess them all in the given time. (Pajhwok)
