LOGAR - Afghan security and defense forces have detained a dangerous group of drug smugglers in Charkh district of Logar province on Saturday night [January 18, 2020].
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Defense, the smugglers who attempted to smuggle drugs to Pakistan were arrested as a result of the operations by the Special Forces last night.
The statement further added that a large amount of narcotics was also seized by the Afghan forces during the operation.
The efforts of the Afghan forces to fight the narcotics in Afghanistan are increasing at a time when Afghanistan is still the largest drug producers in the world. (TKG)
