KABUL - Afghanistan have been trounced 16-1 by Iran in a match of the Central Asian Futsal Association (CAFA), says a media report.
The Iranians made light work of Afghanistan, which could score only one goal, in the contest in Dushanbe on Saturday, according to Mehr News Agency.
Roghayeh Sume'eh, Maral Torkman and Fahimeh Arzani scored three goals each for Iran. Ziba Afroogh had a brace and Nasrin Ghomi chipped in with one goal.
The competition features Tajikistan, Iran, Kyrgyz Republic, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. The six-day tournament began on Jan. 24. (Pajhwok)
