Deal Inked on 3-Nation Power Transmission Line

KABUL - Turkmenistan and a Turkish company have inked an agreement on building the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan power transmission line.
The project would cover the construction of a 220KW power transmission line to the Turkmen-Afghan border along the route between the Mary Hydropower station and Herat City, according to Turkmen media reports.
The agreement’s enforcement will boost the export of Turkmenistan’s electricity and create prerequisites for the establishment of the power engineering industry in Afghanistan.
TAPP-500 Power Transmission Line FZE is a subsidiary of the Turkish company Çalyk Holding, which is a long-standing partner of Turkmenistan in developing its power engineering industry. (Pajhwok)
