Afghanistan Reopens  Border-Crossing with Iran

KABUL - Afghanistan reopened border-crossing with Iran, according to the office of Security Council.
According to Jawed Faisal, the spokesperson of the National Security Council as saying to The Killid Radio, the decision was made on the basis of adhering World Health Organization’s standards.
People can travel to and from Iran after implementing the procedures and standards of the Ministry of Public Health and the World Health Organization.
The spokesman of the Public Health Ministry, Wahidullah Mayar, in the meantime, has said that health agents have already deployed in airports and the border-crossing with Iran for examining.
According to him, on Monday night, a number of travelers who were stuck on the other side of the border entered the country after the examination, and none of them had the corona virus.
Wahidullah Mayar, however, dismissed rumors that a person from the health center in Herat had fled, adding that people should not believe rumors.
The first case of the COVID-19 was recorded in Afghanistan that, according to reports, the infected person had returned the Iranian city of Qom. (TKG)
