COVID 19: China Vows to Help Afghanistan

KABUL - Beijing has pledged to share with Kabul its experience regarding coronavirus tests and treatment, the Afghan ambassador to China says.
Javed Qaim made the remarks as three new cases of coronavirus surfaced in Afghanistan, taking the number of confirmed patients to 10.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) says three more positive cases of coronavirus have been registered in Afghanistan.
“We submitted a list of the required medical tools to China, which has promised to share its experience with us in the area of virus testing,” the diplomat said.
Qaim added since no special vaccine had been found so far to control the virus, China could not extend significant assistance to Afghanistan.
The diplomat urged the Afghan government to shut schools, universities and public places to control the spread of the virus.
On the other hand, the government of China said it had controlled the virus, as only 17 people were found infected with the coronavirus on Friday.

The worldwide death toll from the pandemic surged past 5,000 on Saturday, with the total infected cases also rising to more than 140,000. (Pajhwok)
