KABUL - Religious scholars on Sunday urged the government and Taliban to create a joint commission on combating coronavirus and advised people to follow guidelines.
First reported in December in the city of Wuhan in central China’s Hubei Province, experts attributed the outbreak to a novel coronavirus that has since spread across the globe. The confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported in 160 countries so far.
According to reports, around 300,000 people have been infected with the virus and nearly another 13,000 people died while a number of individuals have been discharged after their treatment.
Earlier today, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said 10 new positive cases of coronavirus have been registered in different provinces of the country, including capital Kabul, over the past 24 hours.
