Women’s Rights, Girls’ Education Top Priorities: Maiwandwal

SHARAN - The new Women Affairs Department head of Southeastern Paktia province on Monday pledged to work for the basic rights of women and provision of education and work opportunity.
Khshbou Maiwandwal, took charge of her office today (Monday). She has a master degree and it is the first time that a lady with master degree qualification serves as women affairs head.
She said that provision of women rights and education facilities for girls would be her top priorities.
Maiwandwal said she had plans and programmes for women that would make them independent economically.
Governor Mujiburrahman Chamkani hailed the Former Women Affairs Director Bi bi Hawa Khoshiwal with a certificate and directed her successor to work for the economic well-being of women and ensure the protection of their rights.
“We started effort to resolve the girls’ education issue as soon as possible,” he said.
It is worth mentioning that Paktia is among province where besides women boys in some areas deprived of education. (Pajhwok)
