Moscow Encourages Inclusive Govt in Kabul

KABUL - Russia has asked Afghan politicians to set aside their differences and create an administration acceptable to all.
This was stated in a written debate of the media and information wing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia regarding the political situation in Afghanistan.
The source wrote Russia was closely watching the growing political crisis in Afghanistan incepted by the result of presidential elections.
“The situation is similar to political crisis back in 2014 when one team refused to accept another team as victorious and the problem was then resolved through negotiated settlement.”
It is unfortunate that the deteriorating domestic political situation is hampering the progress of the all-encompassing negotiation process that will bring an end to civil war in the country through comprehensive national reconciliation, all of which has long been awaited.
The debate called on all responsible political forces in Afghanistan to put aside their differences for the benefit of the nation's most afflicted people and create an administration that is acceptable to all. Russia has also called on all foreign actors involved in Afghanistan to respect the principles of respect for the country's sovereignty and non-interference in Afghanistan's internal affairs and to refrain from trying to impose its will on Afghans.
Russia is also ready to assist in resolving domestic political disputes of Afghanistan and launching peace talks among Afghans as soon as possible in partnership with China, Pakistan, Iran and other interested regional partners, the source said. (Pajhwok)
