KABUL - Second Vice President Sarwar Danish announced on Twitter that he met with Karen Decker, the deputy chief of mission of the US Embassy in Kabul on Sunday.
It was added in his statement that the two had discussed the objectives for convening the Consultative Loya Jirga on Peace which will be held soon. “I mentioned that the Loya Jirga will reflect a united voice of all Afghans in promotion of peace of peace process and restoration of stability in the country,” Danish said.
He said that the Loya Jirga would once more provide an opportunity for all segments of the social groups to express their views and recommendations freely and explicitly to the government, the Taliban and the international community on the peace process. (DOA)
