China, Pakistan  Seek Early Start to Afghan Talks

KABUL - Beijing believes a substantive dialogue is the only way of ending the conflict and bringing peace and stability to Afghanistan, a Chinese TV channel reported.
Following talks with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Hainan province, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told reporters no one should exploit the current situation for personal gains.
At formal talks, according to the China Global Television Network, the two countries agreed on boosting cooperation on the Afghan conundrum and encouraged the relevant parties to seize the opportunity and commence intra-Afghan negotiations at the earliest.
China also commended Pakistan’s contribution to the Afghan peace process and efforts for promoting regional stability the TV channel said on Friday. (Pajhwok)
