Presence of Afghans in Iran Being  Legalised: Envoy

KABUL - A delegation from Kabul recently visited Iran to explore ways of legalising the presence of Afghan refugees in the neighbouring country.
IRNA quoted Afghan Ambassador to Iran Abdul Ghafoor Liwal was as saying the visiting team sought to establish the identity of refugees, issue them ID cards and electronic passports
At a meeting with the governor-general of Kerman province on Saturday, Liwal said a comprehensive strategic cooperation document had been inked between the two countries.
The agreement envisaged greater economic, trade and investment cooperation between the neighbours, the diplomat said.
He added preparations for the transit of cargo between the two countries, having cultural and religious commonalities, were in their final stages. (Pajhwok)
