KABUL - President Ashraf Ghani on Monday said his government had always supported industry development and facilitated investors.
Ghani made these remarks during the opening ceremony of Mohammad Amin Noor Motor Company and Afghan Power.
The president asked the company’s director to pay special attention to the environment in processing old batteries.
“It’s a pleasure that today we are witnessing the investment and use of solar energy by a committed Afghan and legal issues against him will be resolved soon,” he added.
While providing information, director of the company, said his firm would produce 10 types of vehicles run on electricity and petrol which would carry up to 450 kilograms of weight.
He said parts of these vehicles were imported from China but their bodies and design made in the country.
Ahmad Wafi Amin, an official at the president’s office, said the quality of the vehicle was good as they used it inside the Presidential Palace. He said they would also buy more cars from the firm if needed. (Pajhwok)
