KABUL - The Afghan legislation committee has approved the inclusion of the mother’s name on national identity cards upon the request of Civil Society activists.
In a meeting led by second Vice President Sarwar Danish, the Afghan legislation has approved mother’s name on national identity cards (also Tazkira), as a group of civil society activists requested the government to consider their suggestion.
In order for the decision to be implemented, it must first be approved by the cabinet and then by the parliament. (KHAAMA PRESS)
