Ghani Introduces  10 New Ministers-Designate

KABUL - President Ashraf Ghani on Monday introduced 10 acting ministers as his Cabinet nominees at a ceremony at the Presidential Palace, saying the government should be readyto improve people’s lives in post-peace era.
A statement from the Presidential Palace to Pajhwok Afghan News said Dr. Fazal Mahmood Fazali, head of the Administrative Affairs Office at the Presidential Palace, read out a presidential decree regarding introduction of new ministers for a trust vote from the parliament.
According to the decree, acting minister of justice Fazal Ahmad Manawi was introduced as nominee for the same slot.
Acting minister Qudratullah Zaki was named as Minister of Transport (MoT), Mohibullah Samim as Minister of Border and Tribal affairs and Bashir Ahmad Taiang as Minister of Work and Social Affairs.
Noor Rahman Akhlaqi was introduced as Minister of Refugees and Repatriations, Anwar-ul-Haq Ahadi as nominee and acting minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock,  Masooma Khawari nominee and acting Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology.
Abbas Basir was introduced as nominee and Acting Minister of Higher Education, Nisar Ahmad Ghoriani, nominee and acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, and Karima Hamid Faryabi, nominee and acting Minister of Economy.
All the nominees thanked the president and the government leadership and presented their plans and commitments to serving the country as a united team.
Addressing the new ministerial nominees, President Ghani said: “where you had come from and how you came, is now ended and from now on, your job is with the leadership team to serve and respond to people and make this a priority.”
President Ghani said main tasks of the Cabinet were to manage negative consequences of the coronavirus, rapid movement of economy and provision of work programs based on international conditions. (Pajhwok)
