High Council for National Reconciliation Raises Voice Against ‘Violence’.

KABUL - HCNR has called on the Taliban to end the violence and embrace a ceasefire, in a statement issued on the occasion of the International Day of Peace.
The statement quoted Abdullah Abdullah, head of the High Council for National Reconciliation, saying that Afghanistan is at a historic juncture and that the Afghan peace delegations are busy holding talks with the Taliban for a week.
Abdullah said, that the continuing talks are aimed at reaching a lasting agreement and peace.
According to Abdullah, Afghanistan has been embroiled in war and violence for the past 40 years, and this endless war has claimed many innocent lives.
The (HCNR) statement added, “People are tired of the ongoing wars and conflicts. History has proved that war is not the solution to conflicts, and only talks can pave the way for a peaceful life.”
Taliban group has not yet agreed to a ceasefire and will continue fighting until the causes of the conflict in Afghanistan is cleared. (KHAAMA PRESS)
