Entry Test Result,  120 Scholarships Announced

KABUL - The acting minister of high education on Thursday announced the result of the entry test and awarding of 120 scholarships to candidates with high marks.
Abbas Basir, the acting minister said the examination had been conducted in a transparent manner despite the coronavirus challenge.
According to him, the country’s education system has been facing challenges and hence its inability to attract more than 10 percent of applicants for higher education.
He said the ministry was trying to increase the number of the number of admissions.
The ministry is endeavouring to pave the way for competition among higher education seekers.
With this in mind, Basir added, the ministry planned 120 scholarships for those who had achieved high scores in this year’s entrance exam.
The minister said Shamsia from Kabul, with 353.183 marks, had won the first position in this year’s entrance exam. She has been enrolled in the medical faculty.
Niamatullah, also from Kabul, achieved the second position, securing 353.123 marks and Mohammad Mujtaba got 350 marks and secured 3rd spot. (Pajhwok)
