Balanced Development of Provinces ‘Gov’t Priority’, Ghani Says

KABUL, Afghanistan – President Ashraf Ghani on Saturday said western zone of the country has been paid enough attention for development and investment, adding balanced development of all 34 provinces is government’s priority, according to the Palace.
Depicting to Turkmenistan’s imported power to western part of the country, Ghani said “necessary coordination has been made in this regard and progress can be felt,” the ARG (also Presidential Palace) tweeted Saturday evening.
While appreciating active role of women in Farah and Badghis provinces, he said “TAPI will reach Herat province by next year,” which is another achievement in Afghanistan’s development sectors.
Meanwhile, the President addressed security threats in the provinces, saying the government will pay more attention to other cities, as it has already started extending security measures throughout the country.
His remarks came at a time President Ghani met with representatives of the people of Farah and Badghis provinces in the Wolesi Jirga on Saturday afternoon in Kabul. (KHAAMA PRESS)
