Afghanistan’s Fawzia Kofi Among Nobel Peace Prize  Favorites

KABUL - The Norwegian Peace Council has included Afghan politician Fawzia Koofi’s name among five Nobel Peace Prize favorites for 2020 for her continued efforts for women's rights and the ongoing peace negotiations between in Doha.
Koofi has served as a member of Afghanistan’s parliament and is part of the delegation representing the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in ongoing talks with the Taliban in Doha. She is also leading the movement for change party.
The names of some of the world’s most famous personalities and organizations have been suggested a possible nomination for this award.
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Reporters Without Borders are among the possible candidates for the prize. (TOLO NEWS)
