KABUL - NATO defense ministers will meet in Brussels this week to discuss the Afghan mission and the ongoing peace process, the alliance said on Monday.
The defense ministers will participate on October 22 and 23 in a video conference, a NATO official told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The ministers are expected to exchange views on progress on a fairer burden-sharing, as well as on strengthening the alliance deterrence and defense posture and the resilience of allied societies.
“We expect our defense ministers to reaffirm their steadfast support to the Afghan-owned and Afghan-led peace process,” one NATO official said.
The minsters will reaffirm support to the Afghan security forces, through NATO’s Resolute Support Mission and for the country’s long-term security and stability. (Pajhwok)
