KABUL - First Vice President Amrullah Saleh said on Saturday that after the destruction of installations on grabbed lands and disclosure of criminals, grabbers voluntarily started freeing grabbed green areas and criminals surrendering to police.
Saleh took over Kabul security charge from October 18, and today he shared his 7th step regarding Kabul security on his facebook page.
He said that some government officials are in the list of 2,500 criminals and the entire list has been proved authentic.
Saleh said that powerful individuals in some localities have telephoned police and said that they would free some grabbed areas themselves.
He added these individuals have requested to be provided one day opportunity so they could free grabbed areas and save their face from being disgraced in front of public.
Saleh said the process of disclosing criminals would continue and added photographs of criminals on wall and signboards are of small criminals and picked from the bottom of the list.
Through this tactic, he said a number of criminals under presser from families and society have surrendered to police and cooperated in the arrest of notorious criminals.
He welcomed this cooperation and added some criminals who photographs have not been published at public places have requested to surrender provided their names and photos are not disclosed at public places.
Referring to the killing of three policemen in Shina locality of Bagrami district, Saleh said that people have pledged to cooperate in the arrest of murderers. He added these people introduced tens of their youth to remain cooperative in the security affairs.
This comes that a number of lawmakers already criticized Saleh’s security progamme and said that Security Charter could not resolve the security problems in Kabul. (Pajhwok)
