Saleh Sees Taliban Behind Kabul University Attack

KABUL - First Vice President Amrullah Saleh on Tuesday blamed the Taliban for Kabul University attack and said there are many evidences to prove his claim.
Giving details about his daily morning meetings with security officials, Saleh said the weapons used by the attackers do not match the weapons shown by “fake” Daesh statement in which they claimed responsibility for the attack.
Saleh said the two men shown in “fake” Daesh statement do not resemble with the “terrorists” killed in Kabul University attack.
The first vice president said that the Taliban flag was also found in a box belonged to the “terrorists.” He added that the last words they wrote on the walls of the classrooms were “long live Taliban.”
The way the attackers operated was same as the way a new Taliban outfit named Fatih Zwak in Khost operates that has had carried out many deadly attacks, Saleh said.
Saleh said the attack was discussed in their daily meeting with security officials in which the Resolute Support officials were also present.
“The statement attributed to Daesh can never acquit Taliban from this dark and heinous act,” Saleh said.
He added that 19 people were killed and 40 others were wounded in the attack. He added that 15 of the wounded have been discharged and two of them are in critical condition.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid rejected the remarks by Saleh and said it is an easy staging by Amrullah Saleh is to defame the Taliban. (TOLO NEWS)
