KABUL - NATO has promised providing more than 1,000 tonnes of medical supplies to support the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF).
The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) would deliver the medical and pharmaceutical supplies to the Afghan forces.
In a statement, the alliance said 10 Boeing 747 chartered aircraft would airlift the supplies to Afghanistan from Canada, Portugal, Turkey and South Korea.
The first flight landed in Afghanistan on November 13, 2020. The last flight is scheduled for the end of the current year.
“As part of the Resolute Support Mission, CSTC-A is the center-of-gravity organisation for the security assistance process for ANDSF and ministries,” the statement added. (Pajhwok)
