Taliban Have Not Changed,  Warns NSA: Hamdullah Mohib

KABUL - Afghanistan’s National Security Adviser, Hamdullah Mohib on Saturday said that the Taliban still roams in the past, the group has not changed but and does have the knowledge of politics.
Following a security meeting, Mohib told reporters that President Ghani supports the transition of power through elections and according to the country’s constitution.
Mohib added, that the people think the Taliban have changed and they won’t act as they did in the past, but the group has not changed and remains the same.
The group does not have the knowledge of politics and unless they get rid of the dependency on other nations, they will always be blamed and will be called a savage group.
The is despite the fact that the Afghan government and the Taliban have been holding peace talks for almost four months, but no agreement has yet been reached.
Instead, the violence across the country have raged and intensified.
On the other hand, an UN-led summit is scheduled to be held in Turkey, which will a decisive move towards the future of Afghanistan.
The exact date for the meeting is still unknown, it is expected many domestic and international political leaders including journalists will attend the summit.
The United States also have asked President Ashraf Ghani to participate in the summit. (Khaama Press)
