KABUL - Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said on Tuesday he spoke with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to discuss the peace process and the upcoming Turkey conference.
Ghani said on Twitter that they also spoke about the upcoming phone call him and US President Joe Biden.
The United States is pursuing high-level diplomatic efforts to end the war in Afghanistan. It expects the upcoming Turkey conference to finalize a peace agreement.
Blinken in a letter to Ghani last month said the United States is “considering the full withdrawal of forces by May 1st as we consider other options”. (1TV NEWS)
