China will Grant 150mln Yuan to  Afghanistan: Yings

KABUL - Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister, Fu Yings, during his visit to Afghanistan on Wednesday said that China has been an active participant in Afghanistan economic reconstruction and hope to see, as early as possible, a peaceful, stable and independent Afghanistan that enjoys development.

In an exclusive interview with the Daily Outlook Afghanistan, Chinese Deputy FM said that " This year, the Chinese government will provide another grant of 150 million Yaun to Afghanistan and we hope the two sides will soon identify projects to make that it benefits the Afghans. In the last 10 years of Afghanistan's peace and reconstruction process, China has provided assistance through both bilateral and multilateral channels.

We have built a number of public service projects. Including the Jamhuri hospitals (Republican Hospital), rehabilitation of the Parwan irrigation projects, the national education center of Science and Technology and teaching building for Kabul University's Chinese Department."

In future, China will continue to provide assistance with no conditions attached aimed at helping this country, he added.

She further added that "We have also responded to Afghans need for investment. The Aynak copper Mine and the Amu Darya Oil Field are two important projects with Chinese investment. We would like to put them into operation at an early date, in order to help Afghanistan to generate home growth.

As far as I know, people already started to find jobs at the Aynak copper Mine and have Benefit from it. We hope that with support of the afghan Government and people, the above-mentioned projects will start production at an early date to the benefit of the people of the two countries."
