WASHINGTON - The United States has called the international investment meeting on Afghanistan hosted by India in New Delhi on Thursday "a big success."
"We think it was a very, very successful meeting, and it brought lots of international business interest, including American interest, but also a huge amount of interest from Indian-based firms in investing, contributing to the growth, prosperity, economy of Afghanistan," the State Department spokesperson, Victoria Nuland, told reporters at her daily news conference.

"We think that can only help," she said while responding to a question on the meeting which was inaugurated by the External Affairs Minister, SM Krishna. The meeting was also attended by Afghan Foreign Minister Zalmai Rassoul. (Pajhwok)
