KABUL - Afghanistan Anti-Corruption Network (AACN) had in a statement on Tuesday asked the participants of the OIC to discuss corruption part of their main agendas and help the country get rid of the ongoing critical “chronic concern”.
The statement lauded the efforts of the OIC since its establishment in 1966 for the people of Afghanistan during the last decade of Jehad, but blamed the organization to fall short doing what a must for the war suffered people in recent years.

The AACN appreciates the recommendations and advises of the Muslim World League to the OIC and Afghanistan, which recommends peaceful ways of ending war and violence in this country, the statement added.

On behalf of the Afghan civil society and people of Afghanistan the AACN highlights that the widespread corruption is the main factor of insecurity, instability, injustice, increased violence, drug trafficking and cultivation and distance between the people and the government of this country, the statement added.

The AACN open letter sends the letter after, President Karzai left for Saudi Arabai late on Monday to attend the OIC extraordinary summit held in Makkah-Al-Mukarrama. (WNA)
