ISLAMABAD - Pakistani foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar, during a meeting with her Afghan counterpart Zalmai Rassoul, on Wednesday underlined the importance of peace and stability in Afghanistan, reiterating her country's full support for an Afghan-owned, Afghan-driven, and Afghan-led reconciliation process.
The two leaders who met on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly reviewed progress on the Afghanistan-Pakistan Transit Trade Agreement (APTTA) and expressed the commitment of their respective governments to fully implement the agreement, the foreign ministry in Islamabad said in a statement.
Khar and Rassoul also discussed the issue of cross-border infiltration and resultant shelling, and the importance of working closely to effectively address border management issues, the ministry said. (Pajhwok)
