Raheen Urges Youth Activists to Help Addicts

KABUL - Afghan Information and Culture Minister Sayed Makhdoom Raheen called on young people working for the Afghanistan Youth Civil Society group to help improve the problem of drug-addicted youth.
Raheen said that it is the job of other young people to help the addicts return to a normal life, help their families, and be an effective member of society.

"You can help the addicts through the Ministry of Public Health and other organizations working in this sector in Afghanistan and return them to their normal life," Raheen said.

The social activists agreed, saying that they, the Afghan youth, are prepared for the task.

"The civil society and the Afghan youth are strong enough to combat the addiction and corruption and promote unity among themselves," Afghan Youth Civil Society activist Jawad Atahi said.

The Afghan Youth Civil Society was formed three months ago aimed at fighting corruption, defending women rights, freedom of speech, among other causes. (Tolo News)
