India to Help  Afghanistan in Field of Broadcasting

NEW DELHI - India, which is playing an active role in the reconstruction of Afghanistan, will now also help the war-torn country in capacity building in the field of broadcasting and institutional development.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard will be signed on Tuesday between Information & Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni and visiting Afghanistan's Minister for Information & Culture Sayeed Makhdoom Raheem.
The MoU will also entail cooperation and lending of Indian expertise in policy development project, press functioning, content management etc, said sources in the I&B Ministry.

India is involved in a wide range of sectors there, identified by the Afghanistan as priority areas for reconstruction and development.
"We would like to take it forward, provided the government allocates iron ore mines on a nomination basis to us, be it at Hajigak or even elsewhere. (PTI)
