Afghanistan to Sign Agreements with Finland, Denmark

KABUL - President Hamid Karzai left Kabul for Europe Sunday to sign two long-term assistance agreements with Finland and Denmark.

President Karzai will meet and discuss with the president, the prime minister, and other high-rank officials of Finland Monday, following which he will sign the agreement, an Afghan Presidential Palace statement said.

He will then visit Estonia to meet Estonian president and prime minister to converse on expanding bilateral relations, it said.

According to the statement, President Karzai and his delegation will also travel to Copenhagen to sign a long-term assistance agreement with the government of Denmark. (Tolo News)
