Kabul Polytechnic  University Students Build Robots

KABUL - Two students of Kabul Polytechnic University have built robots having the capacity to control and identify things in a distance and were able to identify their environment and show reactions.

According to Ministry of Higher Education, the robots were put to exhibition in a ceremony held with participation of Higher Education Minster for defending diplomas of the university’s engineering faculty students.

Mohammad Raza Noorzad and Tahmina Jalal Hashimi, two students of engineering of computer and informatics faculty for Polytechnic University said the robots can be controlled automatically, by hand and remote control and can identify and control things in a distance by the use of their digital and analog senses.

“The robots can also identify automatically the environment by touching senses and do reactions,” the students said. In the ceremony, Minister of Higher Education Dr. Obaidullah Obaid congratulated the success to students and teachers of Kabul Polytechnic University, praising the students for such creation particularly in scientific issues. Professor Obaid said fortunately Afghanistan has now obtained abilities in human resources sector and increased hopes for development in arouse technology section. (BNA)
