Voting, Precise Monitoring Both Important: Qanuni

KABUL - Mohammad Younus Qanuni, the first vice president, in a series of separate meetings on Monday said participation in presidential elections and widespread monitoring are both equally important.

Presidential press office stated that Mr. Qanuni recalled for solidarity of Afghanistan in current situations as the country is going forwards to presidential and provincial council elections and said the election was very important for the stability of the country. “Afghans will demonstrate their will and determination by their widespread participation in the elections because their country’s fate is somehow connected to the elections,” the first vice president added.

During his separate meetings, the first vice president, met with Attorney General, Minister of Higher Education and a number of the ministry’s personnel and teachers, head of Afghanistan Ulema Council, Mawlavi Qeyamuddin Kashaf, Minister of Public Health Dr. Surya Dalil and a number of the ministry’s employees, a number of Kapisa elders, Dr. Hashmatullah Mujadidi, ACCI chairman and members, a number of ANA high-ranking officers, head of Independent Administrative for Local Organs, Lt. General Baba Jan and a number of Bagram elders, head and a number of members for Hezb-e-Iqtedar Milli, head and a number of members for Afghanistan social associations, district governor and a number of elders of Chah Aab of Takhar, Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyred and Disabled and a number of the ministry’s employees, Gul Agha Rahimi, Abdul Qayoum Karzai, Eng. Farid and a large number of Paghman elders. In the meetings, the first vice president thanked of the countrymen’s sympathy over death of late Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim and added death of late Marshal was a big loss to Afghanistan people.
