Public Transportation Needs Attention

Dear Editor,
Public transportation is one of the most serious problems in Kabul city, especially in western Kabul that we are facing today. That is more unfavorable in Dashti-e-Barchi area. The mini-buses, which belong to private sectors, are very old and outdated that cause traffic jammed and produce harmful pollution. Thus, they are too old that mostly cause accident due to braking failure.

Similarly, these buses do have extremely unpleasant environment inside. Their drivers have no respect for traffic rules. They stop in every roadside and violating the traffic law, and the passengers mostly reach late due to slow motion of these busses. The overloaded buses make the service even poorer and cause dangers of crash.

Therefore, we request the responsible authorities and other related officials to pay a serious attention to the ongoing transportation problems in the city which have never been under notice. This is a serious problem and we once again seek the high responsible authorities support to concern the problem.

Warmest Regard,
Ali Omid
